How come we get all upset when we see a child promoting Christianity and think their parents are brainwashing him, but this is cute/awesome? No matter what the sign says, whether it says “God Hates Fags” or “Boys Can Marry Boys,” I can’t take it seriously if a kid is holding it. honestly? in my opinion, i think this isn’t that bad. it says “boys can marry boys”, not “boys must marry boys” or something. i think this is less brainwashing and more teaching to be openminded. a child promoting christianity is not a bad thing - we are supposed to “believe as children”, are we not? - but a child promoting hatred or closemindedness is just sad to me. and to me, age doesn’t matter. sure, this kid could change his mind later - but so could you, right? and right now, that’s what he believes, just as you believe in your beliefs. I don’t think it’s brainwashing if a child holds up a sign that says “Jesus Loves Me” or something like that, and I don’t think that it’s brainwashing to hold up a sign that says “Boys Can Marry Boys.” It’s not like the poor Westboro church kids who are raised knowing only hatred and not love. That’s brainwashing.
